Who makes the 53-man roster for the Raiders is a big deal. But really, teams are made up of 69 players. That’s because on top of the 53 players on the active roster, there is the 16-man practice squad.
Often times the squad is made up of players the team just cut who clear waivers. But not entirely. There are also usually a few players from other teams as well.
