HARRISON – It’s probably not a good thing when the marching band launches into Don’t Stop Believing eight minutes before halftime.
Somers took another step forward and is nearly up to speed following a bumpy start. The Tuskers got into the end zone four times before the band chimed in Friday and rolled to a 40-7 win at Harrison.
The winning stands at three games.
“Our mindset has changed after the loss to Rye,” said Dean Palazzolo, who returned a punt 55 yards for a score in the opening minutes of the second quarter to give Somers a 26-7 lead. “We brought everyone in and we talked. We told everyone it was time to change our practice habits. I feel like everyone has grown together. We’re more of a family again.”
