The Washington Commanders (2-1) bounced back from their Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers and soundly defeated the Las Vegas Raiders (1-2) 41-24.
Playing without Jayden Daniels, Marcus Mariota did what he does best and kept the Commanders afloat in the absence of their fearless leader. Daniels is nursing a sprained knee and was held out of this week’s game, but the hope is that a little rest is all he needs.
The defense also stepped up in the midst of several injuries and managed to keep Geno Smith and the Raiders’ offense out of scoring range.
