Mike Vrabel shares update on Stefon Diggs’ game status against Raiders

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel indicated that wide receiver Stefon Diggs would be ready to play in Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He spoke about the wide receiver’s availability on The Greg Hill Show on Tuesday morning.

“Yep, as of today, he’ll be out there, “Vrabel said, when asked about Diggs’ status for the regular season opener.

That’s great news for the Patriots considering Diggs currently projects as their top receiving target for the 2025 season. Before going down with the ACL injury in 2024, the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver was coming off six straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

He even looked to be on his way toward putting up strong numbers with the Houston Texans last season with 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns.

The offense in New England struggled last season, and there’s hope that the arrival of a player like Diggs can help second-year quarterback Drake Maye take his game to the next level.

Diggs was one of the biggest acquisitions of the offseason, and Sunday’s opener against the Las Vegas Raiders will be his chance to prove he still has something left in the tank.
